Celebrating PE and Wellbeing
Celebrating our achievements, our learning and our healthy living.
At Westlands First School we encourage the children to adopt a health, positive and active lifestyle. We aim to offer a variety of activities for them to develop their physical well being which, in turn, has a positive effect on their mental well being. Successes and achievements are celebrated during a Celebration Assembly every Tuesday and we are developing our Proud Board in the School's Main Hall.
If you child has a sporting success outside of school, don't forget to let us know so that we can share how proud we are of them on our website and Proud Board!
Check out this website http://www.greatgrubclub.com/ for some top Healthy Eating tips - we will be starting our Grub Club in school in the Summer term.
Summer 1 2018:
Well done to Logan Merrick who was the mascot for Arsenal Ladies at Wembley! He bought in the flag and photo to show us all. He also shared his football medal from his football season - well done!
Children from Year 2 bought in their medals (for judo and football) to share with us - what sporting superstars!
The children have really enjoyed their sessions with 'Footiebugs' so far this term, developing their ball control and footwork skills.
Our sporting progress has continued this term with children achieving judo, football, gymnastics and dance successes. Well done children - keep sharing your news with us!
