WestlandsFirst School

Home Learning

Westlands First School is currently closed to the majority of children, due to Government Guidance in response to Coronavirus COVID-19.

We encourage all of our children to undertake home learning while we are  closed.

The staff here at Westlands have been busy creating something to hopefully make you smile!

Your teachers will be posting work and activities for you to do each week in their year group pages.

If you have any questions, if you would like to share their home learning, or if your child would like to just send us a message (we'd love to hear from them) please email us at

[email protected]

Please include your child's name and class in your email.

We look forward to celebrating your child's learning  and sharing it on our website!

Ongoing Learning Activities

At the bottom of the page, you will also find a set of documents which give interactive links to a range of learning activities for every year group.  These are optional and are there for you to work through with your child whilst school is closed.  We would recommend working through at least two activities a day.

Friday 8th May sees the 75th anniversary of VE Day, where the nation will remember the service and sacrifice of the WWII generation by coming together to celebrate (whilst still observing social distancing of course!)

It would be wonderful if you could share photographs of you learning about or celebrating this special occasion. Maybe you are going to dress up in something red, white or blue, create your own bunting to decorate your house, design a poster, write a poem or make a hat or flag to wave for the Nation’s toast at 3pm.

Whatever you do, we would love to see your photos!

Head on over to our VE day tab on the right where you will find some web links

and downloadable resources.
