Safer Internet Day 2016
On Tuesday 9th February 2016, all of the children took part in a National Event, Safer Internet Day. The children took part in a Whole School Assembly and then worked within their classes learning how to keep safe when working and playing online.
As part of this event all of the children in Years 1 - 4 took part in a poster competition which was organised by Westacre Computing Community (made up of schools in Droitwich and Worcester and led by Westacre Middle School) and Catshill Learning Partnerships (see below link to find out more details). This initiative was supported by the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner. Three winning posters were then chosen and handed to the Digital Leaders at Westacre Middle School. The entries from all schools will be judged by the Digital Leaders from Westacre Middle School on the 22nd February. The overall winning poster will be displayed on the websites of all participating schools. So watch this space and keep your fingers crossed for our Westlands' entries!
The three winning posters from Westlands were created by Zoe, Zuzanna and Jake from Year 4. You can see their creations below!
The overall winners of the competition were from a range of schools in the Worcester area. Please see their entries below:
